SIS Receives Continued ALA Accreditation for Seven Years

The Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) program in the School of Information Studies (SIS) received continued accreditation status from the American Library Association (ALA) through 2029. ALA currently accredits 67 programs at 63 institutions in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. SLIS offers the only ALA accredited MLIS program in Louisiana and has been continuously accredited since 1932.
