President's Address

Hello LSU Staff,

The start of a new year invites reflection, refocus, and momentum. It is an opportunity to rest how we show up for ourselves and for one another. As we move forward, Staff Senate is focused on doing the work that matters most to staff, listening carefully, setting clear priorities, and consistent communication.

As many staff reassess goals and workloads for the spring semester Staff Senate remains committed to listening, advocating, and doing the work that improves experiences for staff across the institution. Earlier this month, we honored the LSU Staff Stripes recipients, recognizing staff members whose dedication, leadership and service has positively impacted the LSU campus community. Acknowledging their work, is an important part of how we elevate staff contribution and reinforce the value staff bring to the institution. Photos will be shared in the February newsletter.

Consider attending a staff senate meeting, join a committee, or provide feedback and help continue making LSU an even better place to work! As we move through the remainder of the spring semester, I look forward to continued collaboration, thoughtful progress, and meaningful engagement with staff.

It’s a great day to be a tiger!

Quinneka McDonald
